Summary
'The Kill Order' is based in a post apocalyptic world and is set in the near future, the story is about a teenager named Mark. Mark has a teenage girlfriend named Trina and a middle aged father figure named Alec. They lived in a small village just outside of New York city, Which has been left in ruins since the sun flares (which happend a year before) with some other survivors. As Mark and the others were starting to rebuild society a berg (a vehicle like a plane which can hover) swooped down over the settlement and starting shooting darts into the survivors. Mark and Alec board the ship and, after a some struggle, cause it to crash 20 miles away from the camp. They salvaged a tablet with a marked point on an app in the tablet. Mark and Alec reunite with the group of survivors and find out the darts had a virus inside of them which had killed many of the survivors, so they head out to the marked point. Mark and Alec find out its a bunker and they go inside and steal a berg for themselves. After traveling they meet a young girl named Deedee and find out she's immune to the plague, they embark on a journey to get her on the other side of the world through a flat trans (a portal). Deedee and Trina get abducted by people turned crazy by the virus, Mark and Alec save them, then head to the building they think most likely to have a flat trans in it. before they go in Mark tells Alec to crash the berg into the building after he gives him the signal, Alec agrees. Mark and Trina get in the building and they gets Deedee through the flat trans, mark then gives Alec the signal and he crashes into the building with Mark and Trina still in it.

Theme
The theme of 'The Kill Order' is survival. it is survival because throughout the book Mark is trying to survive the horrors of a destroyed and plagued world. Mark has to endure his friends dying, the plague, people gone insane from the plague, the organization who distributed the plague and much more.
Not just mark had to survive things, but all of the people around him had to survive similar circumstances.
