Police Department

USFPD offers a variety of safety services that are available 24 hours a day/ seven days a week.

They enforce laws, investigate crimes and traffic crashes, go to major USF events, such as sporting events, to direct traffic and make sure everyone acts accordingly at the events. They maintain a police activity report which is available on the website and the personal safety program and crime prevention unit offer educational training programs.

The purpose of the USFPD to keep all the students, faculty, staff and visitors safe by working to prevent crimes.

The SAFE team is also a way to provide public safety. They are an on campus escort program that provides USF members a safe way to get to their cars or dorms at night. (974-7233)

Students should know about the USFPD in case they are ever a victim of any kind of crime and they need help from the Police. There’s also a lost and found at the police station so if any student loses anything, they can look for it at the police station. There are also emergency blue light phones located all around campus in case you’re ever in an emergency and you don’t have a phone on you.
