It is possible that the clique was one of the forces involved in the contribution of Lord Durham’s report.
Impact of the Findings:
The Cliques two intentions were fulfilled. The union of Lower & Upper Canada and the assimilation of the French – Canadian.
The Clique did not quite approve the findings because they believed the government would give too much political power to the people, majority of those people being French – Canadians. But in general, Durham's report sat well with the Clique.
The recommendations did meet the Clique's demands. By uniting the Canadas, the British population would dominate as the French slowly assimilated with the English.
How did this act meet or fail to meet the demands of the Château Clique?
The Act prevented the French economic and political interests from overruling Britain's. But it failed in assimilating all French-Canadians, one of the Clique's main goals.

Grievances:

Reasonable Solution:
They thought a responsible government and switching French civil law to English civil law would be a reasonable solution to the problems at that time.
