-Pity: Feel bad for them

- From childhood we are taught what is considered right and what is not

-Certain words carry the "wrong" connotation: Murder, cheat, steal

We are taught to do the right thing more often that to do something right.

When faced with these choices we often remember similar situations in which doing the right thing is favored
