How do we feel?

Facts

Mark Antony

After hearing Mark's speech, we think because he used lots of emotion in the words he used, and because he spoke personally to the audience, we would have changed to his side.

During his speech, Mark repeated words such as 'grievous', 'honourable' and 'ambitious' to get across his point to the crowd (Logos) He says postitive and personal things about Caesar and compares it with what Brutus said to suggest he is wrong.

Emotion

Mark speaks with strong emotion and feeling toward Caesar. ' You all did love him once.' Mark links directly with the audience, making what he says very personal.

'My heart is in the coffin with Caesar' It is very emotional and makes the audience feel sorry for both Caesar and Mark Antony. This finally makes the audience realise that what Brutus did was wrong and that he is not a moral character.

Pathos

Showing the body to the crowd shocked them because they didn't except Brutus and the Senate to do such a bad thing.

Friends, Romans, Countrymen
