Lady Macduff Commercial

Quote

(IV, ii, 3-4) Lady Macduff ~

He had none. His flight was madness. When our actions do not, Our fears do make us traitors.

Explanation

Lady Macduff quotes and explanations

This quote shows that Lady Macduff knows that Macduff, by himself, wouldn't have much of a chance against Macbeth and all the powers a king can have. if they were fighting Macduff would be the wren and Macbeth the owl, the bird of night and death. Lady Macduff is angry with her husband because she wants him with her. It also shows that a father should do everything he can to protect his child, but he left and that is not natural thing to do.

Lady Macduff is saying that her husband has no patience and has done nothing wrong and that he had no reason to leave Scotland, but running away makes it look like he has done something wrong.

Quote

(IV, ii,11-13) Lady Macduff ~

" He loves us not; He wants the natural touch. For the wren, the most diminutive of birds, will fight for her young ones in her nest, against the owl"
