A man named Timothy S. Goeglein was a White House aide and he wrote 20-38 stories for the News-Sentinal copied texts from other sources without citing them. He was punished by getting kicked out of the White House. Another example about a man named Jason Blair worked for the New York Times and in 36 of his 73 stories he plagiarized quotes or were made up. The consequence was that he got fired from the New York Times.

One law is the copyright law which is if anyone catches the plagiarist the owner gets to sew them. Another law is called fraud. That is where you put your name on someones work saying that it is yours and you own it.
