It was said that Dictator Aulus Postumius prayed to the Gods for victory. He promised if they helped the Romans win the war, he would build a temple for the Gods Castor and Pollux. The twin Gods heard his plea and rode on white horses into the battle, fighting for the Romans and helping them in their last stand against the Latin League.
Latin League fought for the old king so that he could regain his throne.
The Roman's killed the Latin Leagues leaders but the Latin League would not back down. The Roman cavalry dismounted and fought on foot. At the last attack, they remounted and charged, breaking thought and defeating them.
