Summary

In summary, by terminating people who drink and drive we can significantly decrease the amount of innocent people harmed and killed in drunk driving accidents. The future generations will benefit because people will no longer drink and drive because of the fear of being run over by their car. Based on the statistics, we could save a lot of people and money by ridding the United States of the drunk driver population

Why My Solution Is Good

Do People Agree?

-Reduce the amount of unnecessary deaths and injuries

-It will reduce insurance costs

-Taxi drivers will make a larger profit

-Drunk driving would eventually not be a problem

Yes. People who have lost loved ones or have been impacted by drunk driving believe this is a good idea. Also people who have not been impacted by drunk driving believe that this is an easily avoidable situation and they should be punished for their actions. Based on history, simple fines, imprisonment for a night, or the suspension of a license has little to no effect on those who drink and drive, so the punishment needs to be more harsh.

Drunk Driving

English Satire

Too many people in today's society drive drunk harming and killing themselves and innocent people

My Solution

My solution is when someone is caught drunk driving, they will be run over with their car on the spot.

Statistics

-An average drunk driver has driven drunk 80 times before arrest

-50-75% of convicted drunk drivers continue to drive on a suspended license

-Drunk Driving costs the US $199 billion per year and costs each adult $800

-Everyday 28 people die as a result of drunk driving accidents in the US

-In 2012, 239 child passengers (under 15) were killed in drunk driving accidents. That is 20% of all child traffic fatalities

-52% of these were passengers of the drunk driver

Some Oppositions

Some oppositions may include:

-What if it was their first time?

-What if it was a stupid mistake?

-What if they didn't harm anybody?

Driving while intoxicated is a very easily avoided situation. A simple phone call, designated driver, or a bus can be very simple solutions. Drunk driving should have 0 tolerance and drunk drivers should be punished immdietly.
