The waddles lived at SW 1/4 23-12-18-W4M In Alberta Canada. They also have many other "addresses" like the one above. They where homes to different family members in Alberta.

  • Know one really knows why and how or where they traveled through to get here.
  • Whenever one relitive decided to move, majority (if not all) moved with them.
  • They where always in the same country, state, and in most cases city.

Interesting Fact: this family changed their name from Waddell to Waddle back in the late 1800's, early 1900's. There are two story's of their reasoning, but know one is sure which one is real. Either it was because of a problem with taxes, or it was because they didn't want to send their kids to war so they went to Canada, changed their name and came back acting like new immigrants.

After WW1, my 4x great grandfather and mother decided that there was no future for their 14 children in France, they had decided to move to Saskatchewan Canada. He decided he would buy 3 or 4 sections of land there. in May 1902 they had begun packing, at that time my 4x great grandfather had many properties, about 4. He owned a 40 acre farm, a 50 acre farm, a house with a couple of acres on a sea shore, and the house they lived in in Nantes France. Not to mention the properties where worth quite a bit. On there way to Canada they stopped and stayed in a hotel for a month, enjoying the view. Towards the middle of June they started toward England, and stopped a few places on the way. they boarded the boat on Monday June 25Th at 9:00a.m.

On the seventh day of travel they had finally made it to Montreal Canada.
