Here are my pointe shoes
What makes the paper mache hard?
From my research i have learned that pointe shoes have many and by many i mean a whole bunch of layers of paper mache, which makes really hard ( hard enough to go on the tops of your toes and stay there for about 30 seconds, maybe longer)
Why I Choose this question
I choose this question because I'm very passionate about dance and I just got on pointe, Plus i have been dancing for about 4 years.

What I know before I researched
4 odd facts about pointe shoes
- I know that pointe shoes are made out of paper mache.
- I also know that the outside is a leather material.
- Its very painful (I have gotten many blisters.)
- They have many layers.
- The first and definitely true fact is that they hurt ( gives you blisters if not enough padding)
- Next is that they are hand made ( back in the 18th century)
- Plus they are expensive ( costs about 75$ a pair)
- They are noisy for example the noise is like a rock on wood flooring
