TASTING THE THUNDER
'Tasting the Thunder' is a book By Gary Paulsen. A boy is 16 when he ran away from home. He tries to find a job and then does what he can to survive when he gets beaten up by his farmer boss. He then joins up with some people.
The characters are very interesting, with weird personalities like normal people have in the real world.
In my opinion the book was OK but it got more and more boring as I got into the resolution. The novel wasn't to my interest. But some other people who are into stories about kids who run away from home and live life hard might enjoy 'Tasting the Thunder'. 'Tasting the Thunder was boring and I didn't enjoy it much.
'Tasting the Thunder' is a book I would recommend for audiences 10+.

When John Barron turned fourteen he had come of age to stay by himself to look after the 6000 sheep, 2 horses and 4 dogs. There are dangers everywhere, the snakes and packs of coyotes mostly. As soon as John thought it was all over it just gets worse. It's all a thrilling roller coaster ride.
