Victor feels guilty for not staying in touch with his family for a long time because he is too engulfed in his creation.

* “And the same feelings which made me neglect the scenes around me caused me also to forget those friends who are so many miles absent, and whom I had not seen for so long a time” (44).

*“I knew my silence disquieted them; and I well remember the words of my father: ‘I know that while you are pleased with yourself, you will think of us with affection, and we shall hear regularly from you. Victor feels guilty immediately after the creation of the creature, solely because of the creature's appearance. He begins to regret making the creature because the end result was far from his expectations.

Victor feels guilty for having to leave Elizabeth in a time of grief right after his mother died.

it was the monster. Victor also feels guilty in these chapters for lying to Henry about why he has been avoiding him. yourself as a readerbecomes slightly guilty after reading these chapters as well because you learn that the monster is more human like and just wants forgiveness from Victor instead of the hate and contempt that Victor portrays to the monster

The monster finds himself living in a cottage next to a family that has been struck with poverty. He begins to feel badly for this family. He has been taking food from the family making him feel guilt, one of the first emotions he feels

Victor's brother, William, has been murdered. Victor sees the creature near the spot William's body was found. He is filled with more guilt knowing that his creation has killed two members of his family.

"No one can conceive the anguish I suffered during the remainder of the night" (63).
