Strategy to Test Hypothesis

Hypothesis

We developed a survey including the scenario with the "good" action and with the "bad" action. We are going to look for changes in responses from scenario to scenario. Also, we will be looking for correlations between other things such as age, race, and political views.

Research Behind Study

- The good action versus the bad action will affect how people view the scenario and influence who they think is most responsible for the death of the main character.

- There will not be significant difference between ages in selecting who is most responsible for the death of the main character

- There will not be a difference between race in selecting who is most responsible for the death of the main character

- There will be a difference between political ideology in selecting who is most responsible for the death of the main character

- Through research, we found that in the scenario with the "bad" action, people will normally list the wife as most or second most responsible, whereas in the scenario with the "good" action, people will normally sign little to no responsibility.

- The Highwayman is listed most responsible most of the time for the scenario with the good action
