Here am I,

Send me!

It is all a matter of Perspective

Learn to be Flexible

Excuses?

Others have more skills and abilities

Focused on selfish intents?

Pursuit of optical illusions?

“we’ll help later!”

Good intentions,….but

Are some Christians ignoring the call amidst complaints, criticism, and condemnation toward the team on the field?

Afraid of doing something wrong

Lack of money

Lack of skills

Lack of education

Challenge of a lifetime?

God’s Team

Part of the greatest victory ever won

Delivering souls from the deception of sin

Relieving suffering

Healing the sick

Defeating the devil’s control over fear

  • Jesus is a private tutor who intensively trains his troops
  • He can only use those who keep in communication with Him
  • Do we trust His coaching decisions?

1 Corinthians 12:18 "But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased."

Hebrews 12:1-2 "...let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith..."

Ephesians 6:13 "Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."

  • A Church family is a great place to recruit back-up support
  • Trust takes time to be established
  • Valuable concepts are learned through repetition

Where is your first Mission field?

  • Your own home: A haven or rest or a place to avoid?
  • A marriage of strong bonding or a house of confusion?

1 Timothy 4:12 "...be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

  • Everyday thousands of children die because their parents don’t know how to feed them
  • Worldwide crisis for trained medical personnel
  • Our greatest obstacle?

Hosea 4:6 "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge."

Jesus is the answer for the suffering in our world today!

Do you think the Good Samaritan was a student of First Aid?

Have you ever lived without?

Electricity?

Pure water?

Telephone?

A washing machine?

  • Learn to feed the multitude and clothe the naked that they might know His love
  • It is our hands He wants to use, therefore we must learn to use them well

Pass the truth on through testifying, teaching, writing, and leading

Many will never come to a place of healing unless we go to them with an invitation

Meet practical needs

  • A word of encouragement
  • A compassionate smile
  • A friendly greeting
  • A met need

1 Peter 3:15 "...always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear"

Short-term mission trips?

Be careful! $$$$

The long-term missionary in a 3rd world country will never become rich

The daily bread of most missionaries is dependent upon the faithful support of Christians back home

Rarely do the supporters in the pews understand the struggles of those on the field

Gain a new perspective and expectations will become more realistic

God's team is made up of individuals who feel the same apprehension that you feel.

Jesus compensates for what we are lacking with His Grace and Mercy

We compliment each other’s weaknesses with our individual strengths

Don’t stay isolated on the sidelines

Second Best?

Fulfill your destiny: Don’t do anything less than what He has called you to do!

5. Gain Experience

Thank God he knew how to use a donkey!

6. Develop personal skills

  • Bonding develops through fellowship
  • Develop a tough skin
  • Make yourself available

4. Be there at team practice

7. Pass the Word on

  • Reveals the basic plan for the whole team
  • Gives instruction for individual success
  • Exposes the deceptive game plan of the enemy

3. Know the

game plan

  • Let go of childish attitudes & actions
  • Clean cups are the ones chosen to give water to the thirsty
  • Make yourself available to God in prayer

8. Take the opportunity

2. Get rid of excess baggage

God’s team is made up of individuals who feel the same inadequacies that you feel

1. Talk to the Coach

9. NOW is the accepted time

So, you want to get involved in the ministry?

Perhaps become a missionary some day?

Feelings of inadequacy
