Hantaro Nagaoka

•A Japanese physicist during Meiji Period.

•Born in Nagasaki, Japan- August 15, 1865/ Died in Tokyo, Japan- December 11, 1950.

•Study at the University of Tokyo in 1887.

•Traveled to Europe to study at the universities of Munich, Berlin, and Vienna.

•Worked with British scientist, C.G. Knott at University of Tokyo. Studied the perspective of magnetism.

• Later, taught and did own experiments in Japan.
