The Maasai People believe in just one god who is named Ngai. Ngai is neither female nor male. They are very much known for their intricate jewelry worn on the auspicious event as they are designed specially and hand made. Yes, their values and beliefs are different from us because we believe in very different stuff from them and that is what makes us different from others.
Yes, The Maasai People have been living like this for generations and the seem to want to carry their generation on. They willingly want to live like this. As my mum went to a trip to Kenya to work with the Maasai Community of people, she learned more about The Maasai and she found out that they love living this way and they say that this is their culture and they are so proud of living the way they are.
Usually, the Maasai diet consists of raw meat, raw milk, and raw blood from cattle. In 1935, Dr. Price visited the Maasai and reported that according to Dr. Anderson from the local government hospital in Kenya most tribes were disease-free. This was because of their diet consisting of raw milk, raw blood, raw meat. He also found out that when available for every growing child and every pregnant woman would receive a daily amount of raw blood.
There is so much we can learn from The Maasai People. Their lifestyle is so different and unique that we can learn so much. They easily adapt to their environment. We should learn their adjusting character. We should also learn to adapt easily to our environment and not be really picky with our choices.
Unfortunately, The Maasai People have a very low life expectancy. The average life expectancy of a Maasai person is at most 60 years old. This is due to The Maasai diet having a have lack of vegetables, fruits and sufficient nutrients. One of the most important food sources for them is the cattle blood. It is filled with nutrients and one of the only main reasons their life expectancy is as long as 60 years.
The Maasai have lived without technology for years. They have no electricity. The head of the village of the Maasai, usually is the richest and usually he owns a bike but that is the only vehicle for The Maasai People. It is very interesting because the Maasai People can make fire out of two pieces of wood sticks and one blade.
As I mentioned the language spoken by The Maasai is "Maa". The Language "Maa" is spoken widely among many groups of Maasai People. The Maasai People also know how to speak English, but it is more often to see the Maasai communicate in "Maa".
