1,Check biweekly to make sure staff are entering blood sugars in the individual
sheets.
2, Look in the PCC to fill out the missing CBG.
1.Check individual MARS to ensure there are orders for CBG checking and is
correctly entered in the EMAR
2.Check monthly to ensure glucometers are checked by control solution.
3.Check individual CBG sheets once a month.
4.Look for pattern.
5.Suggest changes for pattern management( adjusting medications or insulin ).
6.Notify physicians and make changes as necessary.

2.Avoiding or managing hyperglycemia in a timely manner.
3.Early recognition and treatment of hypoglycemia.
4.Increase Flexibility in day to day activities.
