Religions and traditions.

Indian people live a very religious life. Most of the population live in the Ganges Plain with over 900 million people living there. If you hurt a cow in any way you can get sent to jail because cows are sacred in India.

India is the birthplace of three great religions, Buddhism, Hinduism and Islam. The largest religion followed in India is Hinduism with nearly 80% of the population following it.

Marriage traditions are a very big thing in India with about 10 million weddings every year.

The Ganges is a huge part of Indian culture. The river is actually the most polluted river in the world but they still bathe in it.

The Indian cuisine is very unique ranging from delicious naan to spicy curry to a milky Gulab Jamun. Indians love there Butter Chicken with there chilies and spicy food.

Monument

India's monuments are beautiful, with the Mysore Palace, Harmandir Sahib (the golden temple) and of course the Taj Mahal.

India's national sport is hockey, India has won 8 olympic out field hockey gold medals, but actually the most popular sport is cricket.

India has won 2 world cups in cricket.Soccer is popular around some states in India but not much.
