Protestants are executed for the Queen's Catholic beliefs
The public execution of the Sara Spinlow, Mary Bacon, and Ann Boleyn (in Chelmsford)
Queen Mary's ruthless actions prove yet again how religious fanaticism propagates evil in the society. Our queen is executing the innocent in order to restore Catholicism in England. Protestants are main targets of this rampage by Queen Mary I, or now "Bloody Mary". Mary Tudor seems to believe that people will turn to the Catholic faith just because she is burning heretics in England. Around 300 ordinary people have been killed under her reign. The public does not favor her as queen at all, and many believe that her sister, Elizabeth should take the throne to lead England.
Yesterday in court, the three witches, Sara Spinlow, Mary Bacon, and Ann Boleyn, have been proven guilty of using witchcraft to harm others. The public execution took place in Chelmsford, where the three witches were burned alive. Although some believe that this is the proper punishment for these women, others want change. Alternate retribution now includes lynching.
Sara Spinlow and her friend, Mary Bacon, have admitted to planning the deaths of many in their neighborhood and community in Maldon. Ann Boleyn was accused of being a witch by a renowned witch finder named Matthew Hopkins by the basis that Boleyn had a devil's mark upon her skin. She had a mole on the back of her neck and a hooked nose on her face. A branding on her arm was described before her execution.
