1.What does the unusual technology in the dome suggest about the time in which the story takes place?

The scanner that speaks is an unusual piece of technology. It hasn't been invented in the past or in modern times so to story should take place somewhere in the future.

2.What do these details (lines 54-70) tell you about the place where the story is set?

The details tell me that people don't go on forays outside the dome, so there must be a reason why and it would most likely be because they are scared.

3. What experiences led Brock to decide to leave the dome?

The experiences that led Brock to leave the dome was when he wandered into the subsection of the historical virtuals called "ancient fictions."

4.Compare and contrast the setting outside the dome with the natural setting where you live. How familiar does the setting outside the dome seem to you?

I've compared that both my environment and the outside of the dome that they both have trees flowers and grass.

I think that Brock's time in the dome when he went to the subsection helped him because he gained some knowledge of what the place contains and things that are there.

6.(lines 209-220) How is finding the puppy changing what Brock has always believed about the outside?

Since the puppy behaves like a normal dog he's starting to think it's not so frightening and unusual outside of the dome. Brock also found that the puppy learns how to get use to the water outside of the dome in order to survive.

7.How does the setting inside the dome help Brock make his decision?

The setting in the dome helps Brock make his decision because the dome doesn't have medication for rabies and so Brock needs to get the dog to have rabies and he needs the dog to bite him as well.

8.How are Brock's questions about the world outside the dome beginning to be answered?

Since he made a conclusion that might be dogs are like humans, things are not so strange outside of the dome. His questions about the outside world were beginning to be answered because of Brog.
