A cosmetic treatment consisting of Cutting, shaping, and often painting the nails as well as removal of the cuticle, and softening of the skin.
Tools
Be sure to use any implements that are used only once.
- Toe separators: Used to keep toes apart.
- Chair: Should be ergonomic, comfortable, and durable.
- Nail Bowl: Used to soak clients finger in warm water, to soften the cuticle.
- Metal Pusher: Used to push back the cuticle.
- Nail Nippers: Made from stainless steal, used to carefully trim away the dead skin around the nail.
- Nail Clippers: Used to shorten the free edge of the nail
- UVA/LED Lamp: Used to cure gel nail polish. Will not work with traditional nail polish.
- Toenail Clippers: Larger than nail clippers, Generally comes with a straight or curved jaws.
- Rasp: Used for filing and smoothing edges on the nail plate.
- Foot File: AKA Pedicure Paddle, Used to reduce thick calluses.
