Setting:

The majority of this book takes place in the new Alexandriaville Public Library. The children are in the new library as contestants of the lock-in. Little pieces of this book takes place in the Alexandriaville Middle School, and The Parker House Hotel. The Alexandria middle school is where Kyle and his friends go to school. Kyle learns about the essay competition and thinks of it as a chance for him to use technology which he can’t use at home because he is grounded. The reception for the grand opening of the Lemoncello's Library is held at the Parker House Hotel which is located across the street from the new library.

"Find your way out of the library using only what's in the library"

This quote was said by Mr. Lemoncello, and he phrases it in a way that leaves it unsolved, which is just they way to put it since they have to figure out how to escape. This quote is important because it leaves a riddle in the minds of the contestants who decide to participate in the contest.

Mystery

When Mr. Lemoncello, the famous game-maker reveals that he has built the new Alexandriaville Public Library, everyone in Alexandriaville is buzzing with excitement. Kyle Keeley's school holds an essay contest, the winners of this contest are given a $500 gift card that is good toward Mr. Lemoncello's games and gizmos. The winner of the contest also are granted access to the library lock-in supervised by Mr. Lemoncello himself.

That night, the contestants played many of Mr. Lemoncellos games. The next morning, the children that slept in the library, realized that the library lock-in wasn't over.

"Knowledge unshared remains unknown"

Mr. Lemoncello says this is the beginning of the book. When Mr. Lemoncello said this, he meant that in order for knowledge to be known it has to be shared. Mr. Lemoncello is saying that it is important to share your own knowledge because it benefits others.

Clue 3 - "Look Up"

Kyle Keeley

Kyle and his team are stumped when they can’t figure out what the holographic authors have in common. Kyle looks to his brother for help, knowing that he must be able to help because of his high intelligence. Unfortunately, his brother is no help to him. Kyle is stunned that his brother does not know all the answers. Luckily, Sierra gets an idea and runs to the wonder dome. She explains to her friends that the authors all have something in common; their books have a title with either the work look or up. They put the words together and get look up. They look up and see call numbers on the top of the wonder dome.

Kyle is the main character in Mr. Lemoncello’s Library. He is twelve years old and he loves all types of games. Kyle is very intelligent and a strong leader. He is a good teammate and throughout the book more and more people join his team. Kyle is also very honest. He loves to win but he won’t do anything that could put his friendships or honesty at stake. At the end of the book Kyle’s hard work and persistence pay off. He and his team is rewarded by winning the whole competition.

Mr. Luigi Lemoncello

Clue 2 - Bibliomania

Mr. Luigi Lemoncello is a famous game-maker, he is also the eccentric benefactor who donated a huge amount of money for the new public library in Alexandriaville. He grew up in Alexandriaville so he remembers how much he had loved the library that was there originally. The librarian at his public library had helped Mr. Lemoncello develop his first successful game, “Escape From Mr. Lemoncello’s Library”.

Kyle and his team are lucky when they stumble upon a major clue, and they find a bibliomania game. The spinner in the game directs them to different call numbers from the dewey decimal system. Kyle is smart and he asks for a new set of cards. These cards lead their team to specific books with big clue.

Charles couldn't find the book he was looking for, but since he was determined, he managed to find

the book by searching through

the library.
