The fued was set in the Canadian province of Ontario in the town of Township. The Donnelly family moved there in the mid- 1840s, and in 1857 James Donnelly killed a man.

Introduction

The Donnelly/township fued ended with an angry mob that stormed their house on February 4, 1880. The crowd entered the house and attacked the family with sticks, shovels and other objects. The crowd killed five members of the family, before they burned the house to the ground. Not one person in that crowd was charged for their murder.

The cause of the feud between the Black Donnellys and the Biddulph Township was because the Black Donnellys were very rough family and they got arrested a lot. James Donnelly eventually got in a pub fight and killed a local man while drunk. After that the fuel escalated to beatings, livestock murders, and different fights.

This feud took place in Ontario, Canada around the 1840s. The Biddulph Township is located is located in London, Ontario, Canada. The Donnelly family integrated from Ireland in the 1840's, that is when the feud began

The Black Donnelly family migrated from Ireland in the 1840's. The family consisted of James Donnelly and Johanna Magee, whom had 8 kids. They had 7 boys; James, William, John, Patrick, Michael, Robert, and Thomas. They also had one girl named Jenny.
