Katherine Mansfield was born October 14, 1888. She was born in Wellington, New Zealand. Her first published stories appeared in "High School Reporter" and "Wellington Girls' High School" magazine. When she attend Queens College in 1903 she continued her writing. The Apple-Tree was officially published in 1950, to help international University Society.

SUMMARY

A house looking out to two orchards. A father finds an apple tree, then discovers the apples are rare. But he doesn't want anybody to go near the tree and touch them. One day he goes to the tree and sees that the apples are warm and bright red. The Father makes his two sons try the apple , but not telling the truth to him they say "it's Perfect!"
