The PMP became more than just a pool it became a family
I am apart of the PMP family and I always will be
There were three strange girls in red bathing suits to take me from the warm grasp of my mother's hand to the cold grasp of the chlorinated water
On my first day of work i walked into the pool excited to get my red bathing suit and my red whistle that all the other guards spun so nonchalantly around their fingers
Almost all of my memories of summer revolve around the Paramus Municipal Pool or PMP as I call it.
After a two week long training course and evaluation i received my certification in CPR, First Aid and Lifeguarding and was finally ready to become a lifeguard

I grew up at the Paramus pool and it will always be a special place for me because of the summers I spent there swimming and eventually working.
