Getting Rid Of Other Religions

- In the Middle Ages the only allowed Christian religion was the Catholic religion.
- In the twelfth Century the Roman style churches became too small, so they built large Cathedrals.
- The more money the church had the more power they had.
- The Church ruled everyone.

Song Schools
- Most people couldn’t understand the Bible because it was in Latin.
- Bible was so hard to recreate the people who did have a Bible had power especially if they could read and understand what they were reading.
- Members of the church were teachers in the song schools.
- Song schools were in monasteries.
Crusades

- The crusades happened because both the Christians and the Muslims wanted to get the holy land.
- The monks and nuns had to pray, work, and study. The monks ran the schools and hospitals. They also converted people to Christianity.
