Recent Scientific studies have been attempted to measure the potential benefits of music. Scientists have found:

  • Music through headphones helps reduce stress of patients before and after surgery.
  • Music Therapy can help reduce emotional distress and boosts quality of life among adult cancer patients
  • Music can reduce the sensation and distress of both long and short lasting pain.

Listening to music can have a tremendous relaxing effect on both our mind and body. Music around 60 bpm can synchronize with the beat creating Alpha Brainwaves, making us more calm and relaxed.

Stress is our bodies way of responding to any kind of demand . It can be caused by both good and bad experiences and affect both our mind and body. Our nervous system responds by releasing a flood of stress hormones, including adrenaline and cortisol, which rouse the body for emergency action.

Why is Stress Management important?

Stress management is very important because stress can lead to a lot of problems such as increased anxiety, depression, lowered immune system and many other problems. Where as managing stress can lead to weight loss, better memory and better blood pressure.

Music not only helps us cope with pain but it also can benefit our physical and mental health in numerous ways. For example music can help:

1. Ease pain

2. Improve sleeping

3. Relieve symptoms of pain

4. Enhance blood vessel function
