More about Cathy Freeman

Change

Cathy freeman was a Torres Strait Islander and she worked as a hair dresser in Coppebella. Her dream was to become a gold medalist and stand up for the indeginous.

The other thing its also done is made me appreciate the bush a lot more than I did before...the right to reach their potential and achieve their gold medal moment in life.

Reasons why

Aboriginals at that

In the sydney stadium there was 24,000 aboriginals and after Cathy Freeman won they all did some sort of aboriginal dance after the race finished.

Cathy Freeman was the first aboriginal to win a gold medal. This meant alot to the aboriginals because they wanted to tell the world that they are very capable. no one hade faith in her but she had hope that she could win

How it made the aboriginals feel and how it changed-

This made the aboriginals feel proud of themselves because they are expressing what is inside there brains. This changed because they have something to say if someone discriminates them.
