Activity Number Four!

This next activity I was a little uneasy about at first but it turned out to be a really amazing ag experience. I milked a Holstein Dairy Cow at the State Fairgrounds! This helped me to gain a whole 5 points!!!

My fourth and probably my favorite thing I did for my SAE project was going to the State fair with my FFA chapter! We took care of the animals and interacted with people who put our animal science knowledge to the test. This brought in another 75 points!!!

I rode in the Knightdale Christmas Parade on the Bethlehem Baptist Church float. This brought in 35 points!!!

For my sixth activity I sold fruit and nuts for the FFA fundraiser. I sold a large box of naval oranges, a small box of tangerines, and two orders of nuts. It felt good to raise money for a good cause like helping to progress KHS's FFA chapter. Bringing in 35 points!!!

Activity Number Eight!

For my eight and last activity I gave both of my dogs a bath. This gave me experience for the care of an animal. Plus, it just had to be done...they smelled awful! This gave me 10 points!

Reflection

This project was very stressful. I learned that I am not interested in agricultural careers at all. I learned some skills by improvement and some supplementary for agricultural activities.

For my third activity I set up a booth at a fall festival with my friends Kyle and Elizabeth! So how did I relate this to agriculture? It was tough, but we made a cow with some black and white fabric and we called our game "Pin the Switch on the Cow." We gave out Cow Tails, a cow coloring sheet, cow facts, and cow anatomy. Bringing in 75 points!!!

Well, this isn't really an activity but it is going to help people in need. It also helped win my class a little Bojangles party... which is always a plus! I brought in 50 canned food items for the FFA/SGA annual food drive! I am now the "Can Princess".... or maybe not? Anywho, this helped me to gain 150 points!
