• Neo: A computer programmer in Metacortex corporation who moonlights as a hacker. Recruited by Morpheus to fight the machines.

• Morpheus: A human freed from the Matrix, captain of the Nebuchadnezzar. He finds Neo and helps him learn the truth.

• Trinity: Freed by Morpheus, crewmember of the Nebuchadnezzar and Neo's romantic interest.

• Agent Smith: A sentient "Agent" program of the Matrix whose purpose is to destroy Zion and stop humans from getting out of the Matrix.

Plot

Neo, a computer hacker, has always questioned reality.

In his research for the Matrix, he is contacted by a terrorist called Morpheus.

Morpheus awakens Neo, and shows him the reality of the world. A wasteland were most of humanity have been captured by a race of machines that uses them as a source of power.

Neo is recognised as the Chosen One, who will be able to distort the laws of the Matrix and free humanity.

A belief is what we accept as truth. Is this a claim you can defend?

Objective Truth exists. Because of the filters of our emotions, upbringing, world view, and biases, we can never know the truth
