Media Convergence

There is good amount of convergence in both projects, with our song being featured in the film 31s we used the band's social media (Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Facebook, Youtube) and posted trailers and sneak peaks to get our fans hyped and go see the film. Our social media is all linked together so that anything posted on one is posted on all the other sites. We offer all our merchandise, concert tickets, and more on our website and our digipack comes with a band poster to give our fans even more motives to purchase it. Not to the random giveways the band does.

Critical Reflection

Our band is a mix of rock and punk rock, but with a twist, our lead singer is a strong female instead of a male. Our lead singer is a tough outspoken girl who will speak her mind on important topics and likes to spread awareness about more controversial topics. Our video for example provides awareness about a few topics that we hope our band help brought attention to like rape drugs for one. Serial Killer also challenges many sterotypes because in our story line the female is the "serial killer" and is dominant over the male who is the weak one in this situatuon. This idea came from the show Eye Candy, even though in the show it is the girl being stalked she is a step ahead and is on her way to capturing her stalker not even knowing who he is. We liked the strong female role and decided to use it.

Our website is where all our merchandise can be found an bought, and is where you can also purchase our digipack. Our merchandise has a simple clean design and would help advertise our band just like our featuring song in the film 31s has. To help get our name out there we woud wan to tour with artisit in our same music genre or similar to it like Lana Del Ray or Lorde for example.

We wanted to continue the theme we used in our AS level project, the feeling of discomfort and creepiness. In our AS project we went with a boy stalking girl concept, in our A level porject we did the opposite route. The music video shows the obsession a women has for a man she doesn't even know after bumping into him at a party. We wanted our video to tell her story but at the same time have an artistic feel, we wanted to leave our audience confused and uncomfortable but still interested and wanting more.

We are branding our band as a femme fatale with a twist within the rock genre. We are mainly targeting teenagers and young adults between the ages of 16 to 24 years old. Our main branding platform is our website

The color red is our main theme throughout our video, website, digipack and merchandise along with some black and white because of our lead singers red lipstick she always uses.
