The Human Digestive System!!!

Without the digestive system, we would

surely die. The main major function of the

human digestive system is to break down

food into nutrients our body needs, and gets

rid of the waste.

Functions of the major organs in the

order food passes through.

Stomach: releases acid to turn

food into liquid.

Pencreas:releases digestive juices to the small intestine.

Interactions with other systems.

1. respiratory system: the esophagus also takes in air.

2. muscular system: the protein taken from the food goes to your muscles.

3. urinary system: the liquid wastes are filtered through the liver.

1)In your lifetime, your

digestive system can handle 50+ tons!

4)It is estimated that the surface

area of the digestive system is the

area of a football feild!
