'Shema' is a poem written by Primo Levi in 1946 about the holocaust.
There are three stanzas in the poem and they each represent something different.
The first stanza is addressed to either us or German citizens about them.
The second stanza is again addressed to us (readers) and German citizens, but about the victims of the Holocaust to make us feel guilty.
And the third stanza is addressed to future life, telling us to remember this event and non't let it happen agin, or if you can't do that then you can suffer like the Holocaust victims did.
