Good morning friends
- 00:03 - 00:04
and happy thursday.
- 00:05 - 00:08
Welcome to today's Mindful mornings where we
- 00:08 - 00:11
are practicing the art of mindfulness.
- 00:11 - 00:12
Remember
- 00:12 - 00:15
being mindfulness takes practice.
- 00:15 - 00:17
We've been doing it for a while
- 00:17 - 00:19
but we're not experts just yet.
- 00:19 - 00:22
It takes time to be aware
- 00:22 - 00:23
of your surroundings.
- 00:24 - 00:26
Being aware about what you feel,
- 00:26 - 00:27
what others are feeling
- 00:28 - 00:33
and the task ahead of us. The task that is right in front of us that we need to get done.
- 00:34 - 00:37
It takes a long time to be able to be mindful
- 00:37 - 00:39
and focus on that one thing
- 00:39 - 00:43
and take away all those other distractions or things that might keep us worried.
- 00:44 - 00:47
So for today's mindfulness activity friends,
- 00:47 - 00:50
I'd like us to try gratefulness.
- 00:51 - 00:54
We are going to look at our bodies right now as they are
- 00:57 - 00:58
and we're going to feel grateful
- 00:59 - 01:02
for the parts of the bodies that we do have,
- 01:03 - 01:05
feeling gratefulness about ourselves,
- 01:05 - 01:07
being kind to ourselves
- 01:08 - 01:11
and just overall being grateful for what we have and really focusing on that.
- 01:12 - 01:14
So go ahead and look at your hands.
- 01:18 - 01:19
Pay attention to them
- 01:20 - 01:23
and tell your hands that you're grateful that you have them.
- 01:23 - 01:24
Whether you have one
- 01:25 - 01:27
or two or parts of a hand,
- 01:27 - 01:30
you are grateful to have what you have
- 01:30 - 01:33
because you get to use them for many different things.
- 01:35 - 01:37
Now go ahead and look down at your feet.
- 01:38 - 01:39
Go ahead
- 01:40 - 01:41
whether you have one
- 01:42 - 01:43
or two,
- 01:43 - 01:47
whether you have 10 toes or nine or eight.
- 01:48 - 01:49
Go ahead and look at them
- 01:50 - 01:52
and feel grateful for your toes
- 01:52 - 01:53
because they help you
- 01:54 - 01:57
your feet help you stand on the ground on top of you.
- 01:58 - 02:01
They help you kick things that help you get to where you need to be.
- 02:02 - 02:04
We are grateful for our feet
- 02:06 - 02:08
one more let's do
- 02:08 - 02:09
or actress.
- 02:10 - 02:12
We are grateful for our eyes.
- 02:13 - 02:15
Whether they work very, very well,
- 02:16 - 02:19
sort of well sometimes we need help with glasses,
- 02:20 - 02:24
whether one works really well, maybe not the other one so well.
- 02:24 - 02:27
We are grateful because we get to see
- 02:28 - 02:29
our eyes,
- 02:29 - 02:34
help us make sense of the world around us for what we see and helps us be present.
- 02:34 - 02:36
So we're grateful for our hands.
- 02:37 - 02:39
We're grateful for of it.
- 02:40 - 02:42
And we are grateful for our eyes.
- 02:42 - 02:44
They all help us be mindful
- 02:44 - 02:46
and focus on what we need to.
- 02:48 - 02:51
Sometimes taking the time to appreciate that friends
- 02:51 - 02:52
is mindfulness.
- 02:53 - 02:55
So let's move on to our affirmations.
- 02:56 - 02:57
I do
- 02:58 - 02:59
amazing things.
- 03:01 - 03:02
I do
- 03:02 - 03:03
amazing things.
- 03:05 - 03:08
I can accomplish my goals.
- 03:09 - 03:13
I can accomplish my goals.
- 03:15 - 03:17
I have people who support me,
- 03:19 - 03:20

- 03:20 - 03:22
people who support me
- 03:23 - 03:24
last one.
- 03:25 - 03:27
I have people who care about me.

- 03:44 - 03:47
So thank you for joining me and I'll see you all tomorrow
