The have been attempts to control the Polynesian Rat. Some ways you can control the Polynesian Rat is snap-trapping, introducing more species, chemicals, and more. Some trade-offs for introducing other species is having to get rid of those species. A trade-off for chemicals is you are hurting the environment.

The Polynesian Rat Originates from

Southeast Asia. It was accidentally

introduced into New Zealand around 1280 A.D. It followed people across the Pacific from Asia on their ships. It was also introduced to Hawaii.
