What Does it Consist of?
A reaction involving copper oxide and graded particles of magnesium and aluminum. The size of the particles must be consistant. It is essential to assure that the torch burns at the correct temperature. This results in a jet flame with a temperature of almost 5000 F and a speed of over 2000 meters per second. The jet is shaped into a flat blade by a rectangular carbon fiber nozzle.
Who Uses it?
Police officers, first responders, soldiers, and divers will be equipped with the MVT. Criminals could easily misuse and abuse it. This is the reason why Wilson says the MVT will be supplied to approved customers only.

The Metal Vapor Torch is, in a way, a lightsaber. It is a belt tool that has the ability to create a blade of fire that cuts through a half-inch steel bar in less than a second.

How Much Does it Cost?
Dennis Wilson, the CEO of EMPI, says that the torch will be priced at around $135, and cartridges will be about $35 each.
