Illinois Grand Jury
When a person in the State of Illinois is accused of a crime they must:
be given a written account of what they have done wrong before they are brought to a courthouse to see the judge.
The job of the Grand Jury is to look over the evidence and then decide if there is enough to go to trial.
In the State of Illinois, a Judge can run for re-election without any opposition(someone running against them).
In order to win the re-election the judge must receive 3 out of 5 votes.
If a judge receives 3/5 of the votes then they will be allowed to keep their jobs.

A Circuit Judge serves for 6 years
An Associate Judge is appointed(Given the job without an election) by the Circuit Judge and they serve for 4 years
