Step Two: Administration

Matrices

Verbal Knowledge

  • To begin use the start point for the examinee's current age.
  • Basal: first three items passed, or drop back one start point as need.
  • Discontinue: 4 consecutive scores of 0.
  • Scoring: examiner will circle a 0 if the examinee's response is incorrect or a 1 if the examinee is correct.
  • Calculation: subtract the number of errors from the ceiling item to find the raw score.
  • Additional Notes: Follow all instructions and pay special attention to the red words in bold. Also, note that some item numbers are meant as "sample" questions for the examinee.

After finding the Standard Scores for Verbal and Nonverbal and the IQ Composite, examiner will find the 90% Confidence Interval using Table B.1 and B.2.
