These fatty acids are considered ``essential fatty acids`` because our body, despite needing them, cannot produce them.

Omega 6 controls amount of water loss in hair, maintains hydration, helps improve eczema and other dry scalp conditions. The main source of Omega 6 is vegetable oils.

Omega 3 increases hair elasticity, nourishes hair follicles, increase hair strength, improve scalp circulation and improve flaky or dry scalp. Omega 3 fatty acids are found in seafood, seeds & nuts, and fruits & vegetables.

Omega 3 and 6 benefit the most when combined together.
