The 'Headscarf' Campaign

This was a campaign for better safety at sea which was launched by wives, sisters and daughters of the trawler-men. Because of some of the things that the women did, the trawlers were given radios for better communication. Also, there

was a mother ship with a doctor in case men at sea need medical help.

Who was involved in the triple trawler disaster ?

There were three boats involved in the incident .

Their names were :

St Romanus ,

Kingston Peridot and

Ross Cleveland .

What was the Triple Trawler Disaster ?

Three trawlers in Hull sank within a few weeks of each other .

This was a shock-horror for the people in the town of Hull .

No one knew what happened or why it happened.
