175g of self raising flour
1tsp of baking powder
175g of butter
175g of caster sugar
3 eggs
2tsp of milk
2 grated rind of lemons
lemon syrup
juice from 2 lemons
115g of caster sugar
Sift the flour and baking powder into a large bowl and add the remaining ingredients. Beat well until smooth.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 1 hour or until cooked.

pour your mixture into a greased and base lined 1kg loaf tin.
Turn onto a wire tray for it to cool down.

Put the lemon juice and sugar onto a saucepan and heat until the sugar has dissolved.
