Blue corduroy jacket is adopted as official dress. A group of FFA officers and members had traveled to Washington D.C. where they got to meet President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

The official FFA Creed was written by E.M. Tiffany.
First official FFA manual was printed.
During World War II FFA members were serving in the army services. Also in 1942 217 people had attend the convection.
The first national creed speaking event is held and the winner was Michael Von Winkle, Arkansas.
Javier Moreno from Puerto Rico is elected national FFA president. He becomes the first Puerto Rican and was the first person with a native language other than English elected as national president.

Thirty-five state associations have approximately 1,500 chapters coming in and 30,000 members in the national organization.
FFA announces its decision to move the National Convection from Kansas City ,Mo to Louisville,Ky.

The American Royal Livestock Show invites agriculture students to participate in joining in Kansas City.
