Their is a huge chance that they will not because, like we mentioned before, their parents keep spending money to survive and there is interest that means if you do not pay it in time they add money till you pay witch is extremely hard. But according to me, they should not have to earn their freedom, they should already have it.

The daily living conditions of these children

Our opinion on the topic

Will they ever earn their freedom?

Jessica's opinion

Jenna's opinion

Can they go home?

The daily living conditions are not very pretty. Some children are put in the mines and forced to mine for gems. Some children (mostly girls) are sexually abused for an older adults entertainment. That is the least of it, sometimes its worst like sometime they get traded for money because the master is just tired of them working to slowly or not good enough. So they just sell them and get there money back.

In my opinion slavery is absolutely HORRIBLE! I think that it's very wrong.Just imagine if you were a slave and you woke up every morning just to know that you were going to be ordered around and beaten and also forced to work 12 or more hours a day all of your life and not be paid or even rewarded for anything. And even worst, the parents accept it.

My opinion on the topic is that it is so unfair. I think all children deserve freedom and with the stuff about them having to earn their freedom because their parents can not get a good job or they are in debt is horrible. Why can't the parents go work because it is not the kids fault that their parents are in dept. The parents should not have the right to sell their child or children for money. The fact that they think they can just sell their own child is so stupid and I can not stand the thought of not being able to see my parents when I need them. I come from a great family and the stuff I have been reading is truly unbelievable. It makes me sad for the children out there that are not as lucky as me and do not have any rights. I think slavery is stupid and idiotic! I would like to meet the person who invented it and smack him upside the head.

No,they can not home go. To go home to a good place, they need to repay their parents dept which is nearly impossible because their parents keep spending to survive and also interest.

How they came about being sold as slaves

What we can do to change the situation

  • there parents borrowed money from house masters so they sold there children to work to pay it back.
  • they needed the money to survive.
  • they traded there child or children for food and supplies.
  • We can send food and water so parents do not have to keep spending.
  • we can send in supplies to help the children to keep going and not to give up.
  • We can make a petition to convince the persons in charge to put laws that are against child labor. And if someone does not follow the rules they will be sent to whatever jall sort of idea Madagascar has.

The adults perspective on this:

Master's point of view

Parent's point of view

The parents point of view is that they need the money and they can not pay it back without giving/trading there child away.

The masters point of view is that: that family borrowed money from me and to pay it back they will give me there child and I will make him\her work for me to pay it back.
