Art
The Pintupi tribe's art is based around the Tingari's stories, which helps structure their civilization and is one of the main foundations in their culture. Each art work contains important information about the Pintupi culture starting from the creation of time to the present day.
One example of Pintupi art helps show the idea of the beliefs in the ancestor's creation. The drawing is representing the beginning of the journey and each line is carefully drawn out to present the idea of giving direction.
Every detail in the art work is made to create a story. The geometric shapes throughout the drawing help represent the idea of culture spreading through the desert. The lines connecting the circles are used to present the idea of the direction the ancestors took during their journey.
