Lungs- the organ that houses the alveoli and the tubes connecting to the nose and mouth.

Diaphragm- muscle that contracts and allows air to pass through the lungs

Functions and Structures

Bronchi- where the trachea branches into two parts and goes to the left lung and the right lung.

Pulmonary Alveoli- small air sacs where gas exchange takes place.

Nose and Mouth- Act as passages for air to go into and out out the body.

Trachea- a hollow tube that transports the air from the nose and mouth into and out of the lungs.
