Theory of

knowledge

Aristotle theory of knowledge was based on his strong belief in Logic.

Plato has an IDEALIST theory.

He sostains that the process of knowing is a mere process of REMEMBERING.

He developed the principles of reasoning.

Knowledge must begin with information acquired through the senses (external and internal), its results are archieved by rational means.

This theory is closely related to his theory of forms (ideas)

which establishes that each thing that exists has a corresponding form or perfect idea.

He stated that we learn through our senses and experiences.

Turning back to Plato, he did not trust sensory information because we can confuse reality with imagination.

To conclude, althught Plato and Aristotle were instructed following the same branch, there are many differences between their ideas, opinions and philosophy
