Warning signs:

  • lack of energy
  • withdrawal
  • no longer taking interest in favorite activities
  • no longer taking interest in personal appearance
  • taking unnecessary risks
  • expressing suicidal thoughts or talks a lot about death.

General Anxiety -

Bipolar Disorder -

also called manic-depressive disorder, extreme mood changes for no reason

Panic Disorder -

pounding heart, sweating, shortness of breath, fear of losing control

Clinical Depression -

lose interest in life, no longer finding enjoyment in anything

Phobia -

intense and exaggerated fear of a specific situation or object

Ways to manage stress:

1 relax your muscles

2. Slow your breathing

3. Get enough sleep

4. Think positively

5. Keep your sense of humor

6. Have some fun

OCD -

Everyone feels 'down' or 'blue' from time to time. That is OK! It won't last long, and if it does, get help.

obsessions such as needing to do certain behaviors over and over; compulsions such as handwashing, counting, hoarding, and arranging possessions

PTSD -

withdrawal or depression after a distressing experience such as sexual abuse, natural disaster, accident, or witnessing violence

Personality Disorders

Include a variety of psychological conditions that affect a person's ability to get along with others

Schizophrenia -

one of the most serious; lose contact with reality (unable to separate what is really happening with what they are imagining)

may have hallucinations (seeing and hearing things), delusions (false beliefs that are unreasonable)
