Ryanair's biggest dream materializes: Deregulation finally arrives in Europe.

Ryanair.com is launched: within 3 months 50,000 bookings per week.

The company is restructured. The mileage program and business class are canceled. Ryanair mirrors the Southwest business model and emerges as Europe's first low cost airline.

Ryanair is cleared to operate the Dublin - London route directly challenging the British Airways and Aer Lingus' duopoly and charging less than half the price. The aircraft used is the BAE748 46 seater turboprop.
