The African National Congress (ANC) was created by Nelson Mandela. This is related to the poem by Gill Scott- Heron because he explains in his poem that people want to be free, "Ain't gonna free me," and
probably Nelson Mandela was trying to help them. In this theory Nelson Mandela created an organization that would help blacks achieve freedom. The ANC was created to end apartheid - separateness.

This is also related to the poem made by Gill Scott-Heron because Steve was part of what Gill was talking about. Desmond instructed marches and declared the world for separation. Nelson Mandela thought Tutu was a great role in the AMC. This is related to the poem because throughout the poem the author is asking if every one knows the word and it would be funny to think the bishop of a church would perhaps know too.
This poem by Gill Scott-Heron is another successful hind sight way of expressing the way the world was going on around him and that he earns great accomplishment from readers like me.
